![]() ![]() Deleting the cache can’t be done directly in CCleaner – it’ll automatically redirect you to the relevant settings screen, but it’s a shame you can’t select multiple apps from here. Tap the menu button and choose Sort by cache size to get to the apps using up the most space. Instead, tap a section header to reveal a breakdown of exactly what’s been found – this allows you, for example, to clear individual caches. Like the PC version, the app appears user-friendly and simple to browse, but there’s a downside – you can easily just click to clean things up without really knowing what you’re doing, and lose important data as a result. You’ll see a summary of what can be deleted and simply ticking the box and tapping Clean will do just that. Tap the Analyze button and after a short pause four areas will be scanned: cache, browser history, downloaded files and processes. Unlike iOS, Android is at least more transparent about file storage, making it easier for third-party apps to give you the tools you need to try and reclaim lost storage space, ditch the bloat and help restore a bit of zip to your mobile experience.ĬCleaner is one of the best known cleanup tools for Windows, so it’s little surprise that Piriform has created an Android version.
